Ben Gilbert

Ben Gilbert is an award winning filmmaker from San Francisco who now lives in Los Angeles. He has worked on many short films and commercials with awrard winning cinematographers Matthew Boyd and Fredrick Chaignat. Ben's narrative short, 'The Forest': a surreal take on obsession and sex, won the award for Best Director at the 2009 City Shorts Film Festival. His current project, the ultra-violent romp, 'The Run' , is currently in post-production. Ben studied filmmaking with Dina Cirualo, Caroline Blaire, and John Aliano, and acting with Matthew Shelton and Luis Saguar at the Shelton Studios. He has performed in both film and theatrical productions. Working with Joseph Graham, he has collaborated on a comic book titled, Killer Love that is currently being sold in San Francisco. Ben was also the Colorist and Fx artist on Joseph's feature film called 'Strapped'. Ben also just finished directing another short film called 'the eyes of my eyes' which is also in post production. .........."Ben speaks the secret language of the actor.
