Phaedra Starr grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, which was everything you imagine: quaint New England quiet, the burst of color and smell of fall, cheering parents on the sidelines of her Volleyball games, cold crisp white winters and ski/snowboard trips down the hills of the local ski resort. But she hasn’t let the boundaries of small town America inhibit her desire for adventure and new things. Maintaining her New England family values and her allegiance to the Red Sox, she has embraced the dichotomy of her New York City Italian Catholic heritage inherited from her Mom and the “Country Farmer” lineage of her Father as she continues to forge her path and destiny. After attending the University of New Hampshire (where she sampled several majors and settled on International Affairs, Hospitality Management and a German minor), traveling throughout Europe and taste-testing a few different careers, she finally made her way to San Francisco and rediscovered her love of all things creative.

For the past few years, Phaedra has been a member of the Actors Theatre of San Francisco and has performed in various roles including Shelly in Sam Shepard’s Buried Child and Ellen in Murray Schisgal’s LUV. She has also performed on stage in Los Angeles as part of the visiting San Francisco cast of Eavesdropper at the Complex Theater produced by C.A.F.E Arts & Andrew Libby. Phaedra has also worked in various Industrials, Commercials, Film and Print.

Phaedra is also huge animal lover. She is a former Board Member and continuous supporter of The Milo Foundation. For moments of relaxation and inspiration you can often find her at the beach playing fetch with her dog, Ramsey, and enjoying the sound of the surf. While based in San Francisco, Phaedra is available for work in Los Angeles and elsewhere.
